Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician II - Overnight Shift

Job Summary:
This position acts as a behavioral health technician to participants of the Reflections for Women program, a 16-bed residential program for women, pregnant women, and women with infant children who have severe substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Individual stays are based on client needs and can be up to 90 days. Located on the Ft. Logan Campus, Reflections for Women is a Medicaid and Special Connections funded program. Women with infant children 15 months of age or younger may reside with their child in treatment. Reflections for Women provides comprehensive treatment services, including but not limited to, individual and group counseling, medication assisted treatment, psychiatric assessment and mental health services, specialized services for pregnant and parenting mothers, community reintegration, case management and coordination of aftercare services.
This position is responsible for the monitoring of clients within the facility. This position observes, monitors, intervenes in substance use disorder treatment through acting as a support staff to clinical staff. and records client activity. Supports, monitors and documents urine screens and monitors and documents client medications. Performs routine inspections of residential premises both inside and out as well as conducts facility head counts, fire drills, property inventories, and room and client bed checks. Transport clients off-site as needed.
*This position is located at the Ft. Logan Campus and will be scheduled Sunday- Thursday Midnight to 8 am. Shift differential is applied to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Observe, monitor, and intervene in drug/alcohol treatment through acting as a support staff to clinical staff.
- Assure client compliance with program structure.
- Monitor and assist mothers with basic infant care routines and safe sleep practices.
- Filing and auditing charts, uploading client information into the electronic health record.
- Assist with cognitive/behavioral approaches and assignments and report any concerning behaviors.
- Support, monitor and document urine screens and document the monitoring of client medications.
- Perform routine inspections of residential premises both inside and out as well as conduct facility head counts, fire drills, property inventories, and room and client bed checks.
- Transport clients off site as needed, attend staff meetings and individual and/or group supervision, and training.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located at the Ft. Logan Grounds, Denver, CO.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or General Educational Diploma (GED).
- One (1) year of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with a substance use disorder.
- Experience documenting behaviors according to established policies and procedures.
- Experience observing, monitoring and documenting urinalysis/breathalyzer testing.
- Experience in observing, monitoring and documenting medication usage.
- Experience using an Electronic Health Record.
- Experience in head counts/bed check.
- Experience filing and auditing clinical charts
- Experience writing incident reports.
- Experience and knowledge of Federal Confidentiality laws concerning Drug and Alcohol treatment and HIPAA.
Conditions of Employment
- Must agree to fingerprinting and criminal background check. Required background checks include a review with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) AND the Central Registry of Child Protection (Trails).
- In accordance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), ARTS cannot employ individuals (who may have contact with residents) who have (1) engaged in sexual abuse in a prison, jail, lockup, community confinement facility, juvenile facility, or other Institution (as defined in 42 U.S. C. 1997); (2) been convicted of engaging or attempting to engage in sexual activity in the community facilitated by force, overt or implied threats of force, or coercion, or if the victim did not consent or was unable to consent or refuse; or (3) been civilly or administratively adjudicated to have engaged in the activity described in (1-3) of this section. Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $42,948 - $49,826.
External candidates may be eligible for a one-time, non-base building sign-on bonus up to $1,000. Details of this recruitment incentive program will be provided during the interview process.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
